Now that I’m going to be rich again, what do I do with it?

I could buy two LCD screens to spare my eyes when I’m on the web. But it’s a lot of money for not much (what? my sight? it’s already screwed). I could buy, instead, three new 17” monitors, so that I’d have three homogenous screens (considering my first one is getting old, my second one is getting blurry, and I haven’t got a third one yet). Three for the price of one LCD, that’s a budget. I could also buy a giant Wacom tablet, which is the minimum to control a triple-screen desktop (not to mention that the one I have isn’t quite young either, not even USB, and I suppose a USB tablet is faster, hence better for the hypothetic hypothesis of drawing). I don’t remember how much it costs, but I guess I could afford the tablet plus the three monitors, and still have some spare change. (Except that I haven’t got enough room for that on my desk.)

Or I could save my money, be reasonable, so that I wouldn’t have to work again too soon. Because, even though this time it’s been quickly earned money, it’s still not my thing. It figures that I only slept for seven hours last night.

Want to know when I post new content to my blog? It's a simple as registering for free to an RSS aggregator (Feedly, NewsBlur, Inoreader, …) and adding www.garoo.net to your feeds (or www.garoo.net if you want to subscribe to all my topics). We don't need newsletters, and we don't need Twitter; RSS still exists.

Je ne savais pas que les MJS avaient autant de fric... Ils sont financés par les Emirats arabes unis ? Ou alors ils ont mis un zéro de trop sur ta feuille de paye.

Une fois que l'on a goûté au LCD en DVI, on est y accro.
Je bave sur un écran 23'' en 1920x1200, permettant de regarder des films en haute définition (pas encore répandus, mais ça viendra). Mais plus de 2700 euros, c'est vraiment hors de prix.

C'est clair ils payent vachement bien pour une association jeune politique! Mais l'urgence justifie les moyens :-)
En plus si il y a tout le travail scenaristique, je veux dire les dialogues, avec l'etudes des discours utilisés comme référence, c'est vrai que c'est mérité ;-)

Un écran LCD, c'est 300 .

Un dessin animé en Flash, ça se fait pas pour 15 .

que faire? maintenant que le pot-au-lait est vendu, offre-toi un CRT 2048x1536; c'est encore ce qu'on fait de mieux pour quelque temps.

Ah ben si tu prends un écran plat de chez Apple si ça coûte très cher :) Mais quelle qualité !! Faut juste prier pour que tu ne tombes par sur un écran à dead pixel, car Apple veut rien savoir à moins de 7 pixels morts.

C'est pas toi qui voulait un Mac au fait ? Un p'tit iMac c'est pas mauvais ça... Ou le G5 si tu bosses encore un peu ;)

G5 dual proco 2.2Ghz avec 8 Go de RAM et un XServe RAID de 5To à côté pour le stockage, et un Dual Apple HD Cinema Display de 23" pour être à l'aise ;) Que du bonheur :D Bon, oui, d'accord, là faudra VRAIMENT bosser beaucoup plus.
