American Gods, by Neil Gaiman: the end is smarter than in Good Omens, but the 47852 pages that lead to it are… industrious. The bare minimum to entice the reader to go forward, chapter after chapter — the Exposition Fairy choking from lack of time to breathe. If it’s indicative of his style when he writes alone…

We don't need newsletters, and we don't need Twitter; RSS still exists.

je te conseille 'Neverwhere'. Outre le fait que je trouve le mot magnifique, le bouquin vaut plus le coup qu'American Gods.

tant qu'on y est, 'Stardust' est sympa aussi... un petit conte de fée gentil, le genre de bouquin dont tu ressors avec un sourire idiot aux lèvres.

Entièrement d'accord avec Yom, Neverwhere est parfait: moi j'ai découvert Gaiman avec celui là, et j'ai de suite accroché.

L'idée de départ était excellente, mais le bouquin m'est tombé des mains au bout de cent pages...
