Hi! Do you remember blogs? Well, this used to be one. Now it just serves as an archive for my multiple Twitter accounts.
Neverwhere, by Neil Gaiman: I didn’t enjoy American Gods, so you recommended this one. Congratulations: it’s the same book again! Sure, it’s a little bit less boring of a read, but after I didn’t like the American Gods story there was no way I’d be thrilled about Neverwhere. Especially when the storytelling is so “highly visual” that I kept having flashes of cheap, imaginary TV movies in my head. If that’s as good as it gets, I’d rather my imagination was left alone.
So, now, would someone want to recommend a novel for me, not by Gaiman, and not about a dumbass being manipulated all the way into an adventure that will slowly unfold, in monstruous geographical detail, sluggishly following the aforementioned dumbass’s pace of comprehension of the world?
