As I announced two days ago, the minilog is replaced with a “status” block in the right column, with more and less details at the same time. Also available as an RSS feed, but you’d better define a custom refresh period, because the status will appear as new every time you read the feed.
And it’s also sporting a picture of me, to make Jakob Nielsen happy, but I’m not sure how long I can handle seeing my face when I proof-read my posts.
The status block uses Ajax to refresh on the home page (because it’s compiled as a static HTML page, whereas the status is recompiled every six minutes), so don’t be surprised if the information there magically changes mid-load. Using Ajax just for that is a bit heavy but, hey, I know how to do it and it works, so why not use it?
Want to know when I post new content to my blog? It's a simple as registering for free to an RSS aggregator (Feedly, NewsBlur, Inoreader, …) and adding www.garoo.net to your feeds (or www.garoo.net if you want to subscribe to all my topics). We don't need newsletters, and we don't need Twitter; RSS still exists.

Chez moi les caractères accentués foirent... mais seulement quand je suis sur la page d'accueil. Quand je suis ici, sur la page pour poster les commentaires, tutto va bene.

Très chouette en effet. Tu pourrais carrément penser un système de commentaires pour le status block. Bien entendu, seulement si tu as envie d'encore plus de commentaire... puis faudrait le nettoyer à chaque up-date du status sinon... bon. Non, en fait c'est bien comme ça. :)

Ben la dernière fois que j'ai eu un minilog j'avais remis le tagboard. Donc, là, idéalement, faudrait que je le reremette. Ca viendra ptet, ptet pas. Mais effectivement j'ai pensé au problème, oui :)
