When I got back home yesterday, after I put down my new vacuums cleaner’s dripping cardboard box (it did resist the downpour pretty well, hurray for modern packing technology), I was really surprised that no blog was talking about the woman I’d seen thrown into the air by a Smart car on Boulevard de Sébastopol. I mean, come on, a person may be dead there, why isn’t anyone interested? Ah, those bloggers, as soon as it’s not about them they just couldn’t care less…
What do you mean, it’s up to me to blog it, and nobody else could do it for me? Well, okay then, there you go: if you’re looking for a vacuum cleaner for a small Paris apartment, I can recommend the Daewoo RC 4008 B, 80€ at Conforama; I’ll certainly have to empty the container or change the bag (you can use it both ways) often, because it looks rather small, but it’s really silent. And considering how physically close I am to my neighbors, that’s a pretty good thing.
Want to know when I post new content to my blog? It's a simple as registering for free to an RSS aggregator (Feedly, NewsBlur, Inoreader, …) and adding www.garoo.net to your feeds (or www.garoo.net if you want to subscribe to all my topics). We don't need newsletters, and we don't need Twitter; RSS still exists.

... J'aurais cru que ce serait la Smart qui aurait volé en l'air suite à la collision.
En même temps, j'ai appris seulement hier le coup de la baleine à Londres, alors je ne suis pas une référence pour l'info.

Moi aussi, j'aurais cru, mais visiblement il ne faut pas sous-estimer la robustesse (et l'énergie cinétique) d'une petite Smart. Enfin, je n'ai pas vu l'état de la voiture de face après le choc, mais elle n'était pas ratatinée.
La baleine à Londres ?

Y'a une baleine qui a remonté la Tamise jusqu'à Londres (c'est pas bien dur, note). Ca a passionné les foules quelques jours pendant qu'ils essayaient de la ramener à la mer, mais ils ont échoué.
Ca fait plaisir de voir que je ne suis pas la dernière à être au courant ;)
