Doom (2005)

Against all odds, the movie has a pretty good cool factor: simple, unpretentious script, good (enough) actors, tongue-in-cheek references to the game and non-stupid tech… it won’t earn a high rank in the history of horror and scary movies, but there’s nothing shameful here. The thing is, though, it isn’t much of a horror or scary movie at all: there’s good, unabashed gore and other gross stuff, but that’s not going to horrify much anyone these days, and the movie doesn’t actually build that much scare (or maybe it does on the silver screen?) — and the first hour is actually a bit slow, but not to the point of getting boring. It’s just good old entertainment, with a script and dialogue that don’t insult your intelligence. Not that they flatter it. They do try to flatter testosterone, though.

Tu donnes 3 à cette grosse daube pour attardés; et 0 ou 1 à Lost, t'as des gouts de chiottes !
