  • The Grudge 2. The movie looks to be good, but the trailer seems to summarize every single surprise in two minutes; I guess you shouldn’t actually watch it.

  • Kiko.com sold for $258,100 [via]. Mmm, dollars… I didn’t think the auction would work; I stand corrected. Too bad that’s not a move web 2.0 companies will be able to repeat too often. And too bad I don’t think it could work as well in France.

Want to know when I post new content to my blog? It's a simple as registering for free to an RSS aggregator (Feedly, NewsBlur, Inoreader, …) and adding www.garoo.net to your feeds (or www.garoo.net if you want to subscribe to all my topics). We don't need newsletters, and we don't need Twitter; RSS still exists.

First off: the light painting is very cool.

Secondly: I've just had to explain to my Swiss au pair girl what's happened to Pluto. In your French opinion, was I accurate to call the demoted worldlet "une planete-nain"?

(Wow. Whoa. Holy...)

Close enough: planète naine :)

(Interestingly I had to check Wikipedia to be sure, because I'd only heard/read about the Pluto thing in English-language podcasts and blogs. I did suppose it was called planète naine, but wasn't certain.)

(Not that the French media didn't mention it -- just that I don't read French newspapers and not many French blogs.)
