“Grammar Girl : ‘It Is I’ Versus ‘It Is Me’”

I hate it when language is in flux like this because it’s easy to get confused. But a lot of people have asked me these questions, and in the end, I believe it’s best to know the traditional rules and then if you decide to break them you can do so knowingly and with conviction.

Prompted by a Tom Ford Q&A I listened to yesterday (I mean, to which I listened) where he jokingly corrected an audience member: “Is it him who […]? Yes, it is he.”

I knew there was some rule to that effect, but I wondered what the rule was exactly, and I’m surprised by how broad it is. Or… was.

It's a simple as registering for free to an RSS aggregator (Feedly, NewsBlur, Inoreader, …) and adding www.garoo.net to your feeds (or www.garoo.net if you want to subscribe to all my topics). We don't need newsletters, and we don't need Twitter; RSS still exists.
