Hi! Do you remember blogs? Well, this used to be one. Now it just serves as an archive for my multiple Twitter accounts.

@bgolus:

We shipped Planetary Annihilation on Win, Mac, and Linux. Linux uses we’re a big vocal part of the Kickstarter and forums.

In the end they accounted for <0.1% of sales but >20% of auto reported crashes and support tickets (most gfx driver related).

Would totally skip Linux. [twitter.com]

@Colossal:

Watch them rush an iPhone XSE to market before summer.

@ow:

TBH if you want people to upgrade maybe don’t make their phone run slower when it’s old bc they’ll be pissed when they find out

Did Mojave change the way windowed apps get activated when you switch desktops? It’s making me crazy with keeping keyboard focus on the full-screen browser when I’m switching away from it. Or did I just not use full-screen apps before?

@DJSnM:

Clever girl. Machine learning system being trained to convert images back and forth figured out how to cheat with steganography. [techcrunch.com]

@Freerunnering:

I don’t worry another tech company will beat Apple. I worry Apple chasing endless growth will implode the company’s ability to make sensible decisions.

You can’t grow endlessly, and Apple is already making more money than some countries!

@Freerunnering:

If you double an object every year, you get bigger than the earth sooner than you’d think.

If you keep trying to “grow” your profits every year. Eventually your target is to have more money than exists on earth.

This must be the fourth time I have to emergency-delete my Tinder account because I accidentally super-liked someone it would be embarrassing for me to super-like 🙄

Doctor Who 12x00 — 4/10

It’s a shame that the first woman Doctor had to be associated with a return to the kind of story plotting that made the show’s heyday in the 1960s, but doesn’t work so well in today’s television.

Counterpart 2x03 — 7/10

As much as I like J.K. Simmons, boy does the show become more enjoyable when it centers around Olivia Williams instead.

@mgsiegler:

I mean what on earth is going on over at Apple? Not the bend thing, but creating such a page to explain the bend thing.

It’s like if Tim Cook went out of his way for no reason to say Apple’s earnings are off because of so many people replacing their batteries… [twitter.com]

@iamdevloper:

when you visit a site you handed over 6 months ago and the client made some changes themselves

Counterpart 2x05 — 9/10

I’ve been busy, so tonight is my first real stay in Forza Horizon’s winterland and, like in summer, the roads are way too grippy [for the way they look]. If even the driving model becomes boring I guess I should consider myself done with the franchise?

7 January

@alexhern:

The most depressing thing about the widespread belief that Facebook and Instagram spy on users with their mic for advertising is that no-one I know who believes it has actually responded by deleting those apps from their phones

@alexhern:

The lesson Facebook is taking from this can’t be healthy. “People already believe you are several times worse than you actually are, yet they carry on using your products anyway, so frankly, you may as well go hog wild on privacy abuses, because it clearly won’t scare them away”

@DaveWoodX:

I think a huge takeaway from today’s Apple announcement (putting iTunes movies and TV on Samsung TVs) is that tvOS is now effectively dead. At least for non-video apps. They just cut their possible customer base for the Apple TV in half. #tvosdev

I don’t want an HTC headset but I just want those things sitting on a shelf as mood lights

@ItsHopeLowie:

@LibyaLiberty:

Today…wipes tear..today, Twitter did good work. Maybe some of the finest on record. Today, you made us proud.

#dnd tip to all gnome players out there: if you cast Reduce on yourself, you’ll only weigh ~5 lb, so you can fly by grabbing yourself by the collar with Mage Hand. Great for dramatic getaways.
