Damn, having to develop without JQuery on the iPhone is such a pain.

Want to know when I post new content to my blog? It's a simple as registering for free to an RSS aggregator (Feedly, NewsBlur, Inoreader, …) and adding www.garoo.net to your feeds (or www.garoo.net if you want to subscribe to all my topics). We don't need newsletters, and we don't need Twitter; RSS still exists.

can't run jquery code on the iphone?

You can, but you shouldn't. Unless it's changed in OS 3.0 (and I haven't seen any mention of that), Mobile WebKit doesn't cache files larger than 25KB or something. So it has to reload JQuery every time it displays a new page. The speed difference was very noticeable when I remembered this and removed JQuery.
