Colossus: The Forbin Project

You wouldn’t expect any good from a 1970 movie about a supercomputer threatening to destroy the world, and yet this one is.

The technology is outdated, obviously (as is the premise of a nation trusting an artificial intelligence with all of its nuclear warheads, I’d hope), and the acting isn’t so great, but the writing is pretty awesome — especially the computer’s voice.
