Glee 1.01

The lead female singer is extremely good (which is no wonder when you see her résumé) and totally killing her dull male counterpart. I can’t believe they scored a real Broadway professional and ended up casting such an average voice opposite her. Poor guy.

As for the story, I’m not sure what they’re actually aiming for, but so far it hits the right chords for me. Oh, wait, it’s from the creator of Nip/Tuck — so clearly it’s going to keep firing in all directions until the soapy developments become too outlandish for my taste. But then you can always watch for the music.
