The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle (Stuart Turton) — 6/10

This was cleverly constructed (if you don’t dig too far) but not a particularly pleasant read — even if you manage to ignore the odious section involving a morbidly obese man. The audiobook’s reader didn’t help with the choices he made for the narrator’s voice, either.

Pretty smart of the author, though, recycling video game concepts for the general public.
