New home page, obviously inspired by Lifeblog. Let’s say it’s… experimental. We’ll see how it works out. (Right now it’s not looking the way it should: the idea is, there’ll be a real thumbnail image for each article.)
This version also makes a bigger use of the Javascript stuff I introduced earlier today: posts will now open in the pseudo-popup, but permalinks are still accessible.
As I said, we’ll see how it works, and I’m waiting for your comments.
P.S. It took me less time than expected to code a little program that creates thumbnails automatically from screen captures (I thought the hardest part would be selecting an area with the mouse, but it was actually the simplest). So each post on the home page now has its little picture.
As a result, it lacks a more apparent hierarchy, something to distinguish photolog entries from simple links. I’ll think about that.
Want to know when I post new content to my blog? It's a simple as registering for free to an RSS aggregator (Feedly, NewsBlur, Inoreader, …) and adding www.garoo.net to your feeds (or www.garoo.net if you want to subscribe to all my topics). We don't need newsletters, and we don't need Twitter; RSS still exists.

Rectification : j'adore. (j'avais pas vu les cases qui "s'éclairent" en blanc quand on passe la souris dessus.) C'est ludique, clair... Manque plus qu'un accès aux archives et un fil RSS digne de ce nom pour que ce soit plus user friendly...

Les archives, c'est prévu : si je garde ce layout, je mettrai des archives par semaine.
Quant au RSS, il est très bien comme ça :)

la on ne peut que dire que tu as le layout le plus original de la blogosphère. Perso j'adore, un peu déroutant au début mais on remarque que c'est tres pratique pour la navigation

plutot sympa ca nouveau look ;) te manque plus qu'un nokia de la mort qui tue, qui fait mixer, son thx et plantages en série pour être tout à fait dans le mood ;) au fait si ca rame en rtc tu vas avoir du mal en normandie :'(

Ouais, bon, c'est un peu lourd à charger, le javascript, on sent Safari ramer un peu, mais tu as quand même la palme de l'originalité je pense. Usine à gaz, mais très jolie usine à gaz, j'aime bien!

Alors ça rame, mais c'est comme ça. Par contre, y'a un illogisme : soit tu mets ta semaine (donc 7 jours, je crois ?), ou alors tu mets trois jours ce qui permettrait que tout tienne dans une résolution à peu pres normale. La c'est un p'tit peu chiant (humble avis).
