Why didn’t Europe create a one-euro bill so we could walk around with just a money clip, like the Americans do, not needing to carry coins around?

Want to know when I post new content to my blog? It's a simple as registering for free to an RSS aggregator (Feedly, NewsBlur, Inoreader, …) and adding www.garoo.net to your feeds (or www.garoo.net if you want to subscribe to all my topics). We don't need newsletters, and we don't need Twitter; RSS still exists.

although Americans DO still have coins, hon. In case you've forgotten. And they're just as annoying as ours.

Oh, no, really? Duh.

The point -- and the very reason such a thing as a money clip exists -- is that you can live off one-dollar bills for all your petty expenses, and just let coin change loose in your trouser pocket, discarding it when you get home or you walk past a homeless guy. That's far less practical when the smallest bill is five euros.

Which is why most vending machines have to accept bills in the US, whereas in France they don't need to.

Mmmm yeah, nice idea, you try it and I bet that within two days, you have as many nickels and dimes as you currently have euro centimes (THE most ridiculous invention BTW) Prove me wrong!
