A moronic guy falls in love with a moronic girl, then another, who falls in love with him, then another, and they all play the swinging game.
The beginning is absolutely unbearable; the rest is just pointless. There were several times when I started thinking that, said and filmed differently (for instance with actors having some sort of alchemy between them, because that’d help make believe they’re in love — oh, and if they tried and look a bit smart they could make us swallow the theatrical comebacks), some scenes could be good and real. But even in my imagination I have trouble making a good movie out of this (non-)story.
Besides, if it’s directed by the same Mike Nichols as Angels in America, it can hardly be his fault.
