I am done with Watts’ sporadic bursts of toxic masculinity; I am done with his heavy reliance on deliberate obfuscation to add suspense. And that’s a shame, because the scientific credentials he brings to the story, and his unique specialty in marine biology, make for very interesting stories and universes.
